About

Sunday Dutro
she / her / hers

Sunday Dutro was born and raised in San Diego, California. She kept a journal from the age of ten and still has all but one from her teenage years. An avid reader, library supporter, and entrepreneur; she always had a book, a pen, and a business idea with her at all times.

Dutro attended college at the University of California, Davis, where she edited her department newsletter, ran a weekly Poetry Slam, and occasionally wrote an article for the school paper. She actively made all the wrong choices and did all the wrong things but somehow managed to graduate with a BA before absconding to Europe.

In Barcelona, Spain, Dutro earned her Certificate in English Language Teaching from the International House before backpacking across the continent solo. With the exception of a stomach bug between Turkey and Romania, it was a formative part of her life and an option she wishes everyone could take.

Upon returning to the States, Dutro ended up in Finance for a decade before following her heart to the mountains where she met the Sweet Love of her life, had two miscarriages and two live births, and found her passion for small town living among the pines.

Sunday Dutro is an internationally published writer, Writing By Writers Manuscript-Boot-Camp and Haven I Writing Retreat alum. She is an Emerging Writer Member of The Author’s Guild and lives in Montana with her husband, children, dogs, cats, and chickens. She is actively working on a memoir.
